I thought I would share some of the nicer looking word press themes I have found on my recent travels:

The Bella Wordpress theme is a nice fresh girly looking theme

DeFusion by webdemar is a very clean and modern looking theme.

WPCoda is a very funky theme with jquery coda effects

Agregado is a nice dark background social feed optimized theme.

Crybook looks very nice, modern, clean and perhaps more feminine than some themes with cute rounded corners. It also has 3 columns.

Vesper is a nice clean and fresh looking theme. Supports sub links well.

I’ve been a little bit obsessed recently trying to find the nicest free Word Press themes available: two reasons: 1, my sister told me making themes for Word Press is a bit of a nightmare. She runs forums and does generally more complicated coding than I do so I took her word for it, and 2, there are some great free ones around.

I’ve been thinking of changing the RSS feed on my main index of fuzzymushroom.com to only relate to website updates and news seperate of this blog, it would involve several hours of coding though so I’m not jumping to it just yet. I might change things a bit when I get round to designing a better theme for my website. Perhaps an autumn/winter thing, or somthing a bit more polished at least.

Also I have another blog I started on Blogger for anything that isn’t resource or sketch related…

I thought I should write something here about what I’ve been up to lately and a few plans etc…

I’m currently wearing my eyes away coding the next incarnation of my website which is going to be a lot more illustrative this time. I’m pretty bored of the minimal look already, seems everyone is doing the glossy web 2.0 thing these days.

I’m also trying to improve the portfolio section and have as few or no pop up gimmicks as possible this time around.
